These three versatile eBooks are a must for children and young musicians. They work extremely well individually, or as a set. Part 1 teaches descant notes using simple diagrams, not the stave. It is particularly suitable for; the very young learner; for children who are finding note reading arduous and need to relax and develop some playing fluency; for providing the opportunity to extend repertoire easily.
Because only well known songs and nursery tunes are used, it is easier for the youngster to know when they have played incorrect notes.
Part 2 is a natural follow-on to book one. It revisits all the same tunes but this time reading 'proper' notation.
Depending on the circumstances, 'Note Reading Is Fun', and its accompanying two downloadable songs, should be used between the two recorder eBooks, or on its own as a preparation for treble clef note reading. The first song introduces crotchets, quavers etc. with the aid of a music family, and the second song will help with note naming.
